eXite® user may send data to every other eXite® user or to any user who employs a service which is interconnected with eXite® (see International Communication).

For all data that is sent to eXite® (regardless if it is for forwarding or storage in a recipients mailbox) the data format (syntax) of the document header (UN/EDIFACT or CEFACT XML) has to be specified as an eXite® service parameter. An eXite® parameter must also be used to specify if the data is “zipped” or not. The data sent to eXite® may consist of one interchange (one document header) only, or a sequence of interchanges within one file. With XML formatted data only one interchange at the time can be sent.
