Data Formats

For the transfer of EDI data across eXite®, two types of data are valid:

•UN/EDIFACT / EANCOM

•GS1 XML (only if supported by the interconnected network)

•Other formats

 

The type „other“ data requires an UN/EDIFACT „envelope“ (UNB – UNH – User Data – UNT – UNZ segments; see also EDIFACT) or a GS1 XML Standard Business Document “envelope” (UN/CEFACT XML Header). After being enveloped all data is treated as UN/EDIFACT or GS1 XML data.

 

If data with non-supported syntax is send to eXite® an error occurs and the data is not forwarded to its destinated mailbox.
