With the distribution list eXite® users may send an EDI document to more than one user at the same time. Distribution lists can be created via the eXite® Online Services and individually named.

If inside the UNB-segment (in case of EDIFACT) or Business Document Header (in case of XML) a distribution list name is specified as the recipient of a particular EDI document, this particular EDI document is automatically sent to all recipients listed within the specified distribution list.

On the recipients side the distribution list name is replaced by the actual recipient-ID that was taken from the distribution list in use.
